Why a vampire cannot be seen in a mirror?

The answer to this question is actually a simple one. Vampires are transparent. Light passes through them. Therefore, if they stand in front of a mirror, there is not reflection because the light is not hitting off of something, but yet passing through it.

They can temporarily counter this, but for the most part, their reflections are always obscured.

Dear Danni, please alaborte a bit more on this theme, i think you have hit on something important here.

vampires are the creatures of darkness - and they suck the life (Light?) out of others.

what are your thoughts on that?

Bozyslawa, actually, it is not the light that they are sucking out of you, but your soul. That is what makes a vampire translucent. They have no soul.

If light passes through vampires, then surely noone would be able to see them as vision is based on light being reflected by a surface, picked up by our retinas, and translated into images by our brains, if no light is reflected, nothing is seen. How do you explain this?

Actually it's because they aren't real.

I like that one: They aren't real. That's great
